ATLETICO MADRID vs CHELSEA BETTING PREVIEW
Atletico Madrid have already recorded back-to-back wins in La Liga in the new Stadium, and are yet to concede a goal having beaten Malaga 1-0 and most recently Sevilla 2-0. They are unbeaten in their last 11 matches in all competitions and sit 4 points off the pace being set by Barcelona in La Liga. In their Champions League opening match, they managed to escape from the trip to the Stadio Olimpico with a point after a goalless draw with Roma.Augusto Fernandez is the only injury concern for the home side, with few surprises expected from Diego Simeone. The Colchoneros' manager should field his usual 4-4-2 with Griezmann partnered by Fernando Torres, Luciano Vietto or Angel Correa in attack. In midfield, Koke and Yannick Carrasco will start out wide, with Gabi and Saul Niguez in the middle of the park. Diego Costa is on the verge of leaving Chelsea to re-sign for Atletico Madrid but he will not able to play for Los Rojiblancos until January.
With six Premier League games gone, Chelsea sit third in the table 3 points shy of the 2 Manchester clubs, having not lost since the opening day against Burnley. The Blues have won their first three away games of the Premier League season - including at Spurs and Leicester - and enter this clash on the back of a 4-0 success at Stoke at the weekend. In their first Champions League, Antonio Conte's men hammered Qarabag by a 6-0 scoreline.
Thibaut Courtois will be fine to face his old side despite he received treatment on the pitch after colliding with teammate Gary Cahill and Stoke striker Peter Crouch last Saturday. David Luiz is carrying a wrist injury and is a doubt while Davide Zappacosta and Victor Moses are contention at right wing-back. Eden Hazard and Pedro should flank the in-form Alvaro Morata up-front. Danny Drinkwater is the only player definitely ruled out.
