Barcelona enter this match on the back of a classy 2-0 win over Arsenal in the Champions League as Lionel Messi netted twice to put the defending champions in full control ahead of the return leg. With 63 points, the Blaugrana were eight points clear off second-running Atletico Madrid and nine points above arch-rival Real Madrid ahead of this matchweek. They have won 12 of their last 13 home matches and scored at least 2 goals in their last 12 league matches at Camp Nou.The Blaugrana have no fresh injury concerns as only Rafinha remains injured. Sergio Busquets is available again after suspension, with Sergi Roberto dropping to the bench as a result. Jordi Alba is expected to start at left-back, with Gerard Pique back in the fold at centre-back. Messi, Suarez and Neymar, of course, will lead the line.
Sevilla are without an away La Liga win in 12 matches but they are sitting fifth in the table thanks to their home performances as the Andalusians have won 14 consecutive games in all competitions at their Sanchez Pizjuan stadium. They were also in action in Europe this midweek, and Unai Emery’s side were beaten 1-0 by Molde and settled for a 2-2 draw with lowly squad Rayo Vallecano last Sunday.
Ever Banega is missing due to suspension, with Vicente Iborra expected to deputise. The good news for Sevilla is that winger Vitolo is back in the squad after suffering an injury last week. Steven N'Zonzi and Sebastian Cristoforo are expected to anchor the midfield while Grzegorz Krychowiak, Marco Andreolli and Nicolas Pareja are injured.
Sevilla won 2-1 at the Estadio Sanchez Pizjuan on 3rd October as the Andalusians were the last team to beat the Blaugrana. Should Barca remain undefeated against their visitors on Sunday night, however, they will equal the all-time Spanish record of 34 straight games unbeaten, set by Real Madrid in 1989. However, Luis Enrique's men have only kept one clean sheet in their last five competitive games.
