BARCELONA v VALENCIA BETTING PREVIEW
Barcelona suffered a shocking 2-1 defeat from the hands of Deportivo La Coruna last weekend after a heroic 6-1 demolition job of Paris St. Germain in the Champions League. They now trail Real Madrid by two points in La Liga standings, who have one game in hand. The Catalans have won their last six at Camp Nou, scoring 4.1 goals per game in that sequence. In terms of direct matches, the Blaugrana have lost just two of their last 19 league games against Valencia, recording 12 wins and 5 draws.
Luis Enrique will likely revert to a 4-3-3 formation, meaning that Sergi Roberto and Jordi Alba should feature at full-back once again, forming the four man backline with Gerard Pique and Samuel Umtiti. Upfron Neymar has a knock, but should be fit to start alongside Leo Messi and Luis Suarez. Aleix Vidal is a long-term casualty at Barcelona and will miss out again, while Jeremy Mathieu and Neymar are also both doubts for the game.
Valencia currently sit in 13th place in the table - 11 points clear-off the relegation zone - and are in mixed form. They have won just one of their last four games, with one draw and two defeats, one being a comprehensive 3-0 loss to Atletico Madrid. They truggled last weeekend against Sporting Gijon, despite coming out with the share of the spoils courtesy of a late strike from Munir El Haddadi. Los Che have a poor away record having won just one of their last 10 La Liga away games (D3 L6). Anyway, they have only failed to find the net in five matches all season.
Enzo Perez returns from suspension and should slot straight in at the base of midfield with Carlos Soler and Daniel Parejo. The likes of Simone Zaza, Joao Cancelo and Fabrian Orellana are expected to start upfront. No other changes are expected from manager Voro, though Munir will be pushing for a starting berth in attack. Nani, Rodrigo Moreno and Santi Mina will all miss out on the trip to the Camp Nou, while Mario Suarez is doubtful.
