MARES NOVICES HURDLE BETTING PREVIEW
It's a Grade 2 National Hunt hurdle race open to mares and fillies, run over two miles and one furlong, for horses aged four years and upwards. This race was created to attract the top novice mares in the United Kingdom, and presents a showcase of future mare talent that will be aimed at either the Mares Hurdle or the Champion Hurdle.
Hence, it is a great starting point for mares who are just short of top class, and unable to take on the boys in one of the open novice races.
And now we take a closer look at this year's Dawn Run Mares Novices Hurdle and try to determine which horse is likely to prevail.
Who will win the Mares Novices Hurdle 2024?
Willie Mullin's JADE DE GRUGY is the 2nd favorite now, after landing the Solerina Mares' Novice Hurdle. Prior to that, she made a lasting impression on her Irish debut at Leopardstown, streaking clear of Butcher Hollow in the closing stages.
Gordon Elliott's will be represented by BRIGHTERDAYSAHEAD, another unbeaten mare. She has looked nimble enough over hurdles, winning the Grade Three at Down Royal in November before an easy Listed win last time out.
DYSART ENOS is undoubtedly the best novice mare in Britain and, unlike her Irish rivals, she won't have a penalty to carry. She is unbeaten under rules in five starts and has improved with each run, importantly gaining some valuable course experience by beating the boys at Cheltenham's December meeting.
GOLDEN ACE has recorded two impressive wins over hurdles at Taunton this term. Jeremy Scott's mare also recorded a 2nd place behind Dysart Enos at Aintree last season.
William Hill are offering a £5 no deposit free bet every day! Any Cheltenham Festival race!
BIRDIE OR BUST could represent Henry De Bromhead having beaten FUN FUN FUN in a Listed race last time out. Anyway, she finished 25 lengths behind Brighterdaysahead in a recent meeting at Down Royal.
MAJESTIC FORCE bolted up in a point-to-point in December and thrashed a decent gelding of Willie Mullins in Dr Eggman on her hurdles debut at Punchestown.
Nigel Twiston-Davies has entered CASA NO MENTO, winner in two of her four previous races. She finished a distant 10th behind Dysart Enos at Aintree last season but has recorded two wins at Market Rasen and Hereford before losing to odds-on favourite Queens Gamble at Taunton this season.MOLLYS MANGO managed three wins at seven attempts out of Gordon Elliott's stables and will make her debut for Harry Derham here, while TITIANIUM MOON and VICTORIA MILANO look beaten in this company.
At the moment, the most backed horses are the following:

Ruby Walsh's Tips
"The way Gordon Elliott talks about Brighterdaysahead is infectious. When he isn’t on the fence about one of his runners it’s worth listening. I can’t desert Willie Mullins’ Jade De Grugy but maybe I should listen to Gordon!"2024 MARES' NOVICES HURDLE FREE BETS
