CHILE v ARGENTINA BETTING PREVIEW
Chile are 4th in the table with 7 points after four matches. They are on a two match win-less run, before they went on for a 7 match winning streak. After recording back-to-back victories in their first two fixtures (2-0 against Brazil and 4-3 against Peru) they settled for a 1-1 draw against Colombia and lost 3-0 to Uruguay last time out.The national team are working with Argentinian coach Juan Antonio Pizzi for the first time following Jorge Sampaoli's resignation at the start of the year. Gary Medel and Matías Fernández are expected to start in central defense and midfield but the absence of Arturo Vidal (suspension), Jorge Valdivia (suspension) and Charles Aranguiz (injury) will be a major blow.
Argentina are 5th with 5 points after four qualifying fixtures. La Albicelester fell to an embarrassing 2-0 defeat at home to Ecuador in their first match, which was followed by two consecutive draws (0-0 against Paraguay and 1-1 against Brazil) before finally recording a 1-0 win over Colombia. The pressure remains on the shoulders of Gerard Martino, meanwhile, with Argentina having won just one of its last five games.
Carlos Tevez has been left out of the squad and Sergio Aguero is expected to make his return to the starting line up for the first time since October last year while Paolo Dybala has dropped out of Argentina’s squad due to a recurrence of a muscle injury. Man City's Nicolas Otemendi is a major doubt but it is the return of Messi which has given everyone a lift.
