ENGLAND v NIGERIA BETTING PREVIEW

England should be able to keep another clean sheet

England cruised through their qualifying group, emerging undefeated from their ten games, winning eight. They have lost twice under Gareth Southgate's stewardship - to Germany and England. The Three Lions, who will face all of Tunisia, Panama and Belgium in their group campaign on Russian soil this summer, played two friendlies last march - the first saw Southgate's men beating Netherlands 1-0 while the second one ended in a 1-1 draw against Nigeria. Southgate's men only conceded once against tough opposition as Brazil, Netherlands, Nigeria and Germany, and they should be able to keep another clean sheet here at Wembley. The last meeting between the two teams ended in a 0-0 draw in 2002.

Trent Alexander-Arnold and Jordan Henderson have been given some time-off after the Champions League final. James Tarkowski has been removed from the standby list to have hernia surgery, while Phile Jones is expected to miss out due to the birth of his child. As a result, Kyle Walker is expected to form the three man defense alongside Gary Cahill and Harry Maguire in a 3-4-2-1 formation. Danny Rose and Kieran Trippier should be the preferred wing backs. Harry Kane is likely to lead the line in this game with Raheem Sterling and Jesse Lingard supporting the Spurs' striker.

Nigeria are physically strong and talented up front

Nigeria certainly qualified for the World Cup in style, winning their group by five points ahead of second placed Zambia. The Super Eagles recently managed to beat Poland 1-0 in an international Friendly last March but lost to Serbia 2-0 a couple of days later. Anyway, they have won five of their last six on the road, including a 4-2 win over Argentina in November. After Saturday’s match, Nigeria face Czech Republic before flying to Russia. They have been placed in a tough World Cup group which contains Croatia, Argentina and Iceland.

Nigeria have cut Stephen Eze, Dele Ajiboye, Junior Lokosa and Uche Agbo from the provisional 30-man squad. They are talented in attac as their roster includes Leicester City forward Kelechi Iheanacho and former Watford ace Odion Ighalo. Other English-based players are likely to play at some stage, including Ola Aina and Victor Moses (Chelsea) and Alex Iwobi (Arsenal). Wilfred Ndidi is expected to miss out as he continues his recovery from a hamstring injury. Ogenyi Onazi is likely to (deputise in the middle of the park.
