FULHAM v NEWCASTLE BETTING PREVIEW
Fulham face another season of uncertainty as they flirted with the drop last season before eventually securing a 20th place finish. A staggering 21 players have left the Cottagers so far this summer including star talisman Ross McCormack earlier this week and Moussa Dembele who joined Celtic. Their marquee signing is midfielder Kevin McDonald who joined from Wolves. Sone Aluko has arrived from Hull to replace Dembele and a couple of useful names have been added at the back such as Tomas Kalas on a season-loan from Chelsea and Michael Madl.Defender Ryan Fredericks is out after ankle surgery but striker Cauley Woodrow hopes to overcome an ankle knock. Tim Reams is recovering from illness and is likely to be side-lined here. Goalkeeper David Button and striker Cauley Woodrow are both expected to be fit after resting knocks this week. Striker Sone Aluko is likely to start up front, just behind Matt Smith.

Newcastle are heavy favourites to lift the Championship title this season having kept hold of several key players as well as manager Rafael Benitez. Their two major signings are Dwight Gayle, Ciaran Clark, Mohamed Diame, Grant Hanley and Matt Ritchie while Andros Townsend and Georginio Wijnaldum have left the club while Daryl Janmaat and Moussa Sissoko are close to leaving.
The likes of Diame, Ritchie and Gayle could all make their debuts. Aleksandar Mitrovic is suspended for four matches following his red card in the final Premier League match against Tottenham. Chancel Mbemba is a doubt with an ankle injury, with new signings Grant Hanley and Ciaran Clark standing by to replace him. Karl Darlow is likely to start in goal with strong competition from the new summer arrival Matz Sels.
