GENT v WOLFSBURG BETTING PREVIEW

Gent are running neck and neck with Club Brugge at the top of the standings in the Belgian Pro League. They needed 85 minutes to struggle past bottom side Mouscron on Friday with a powerful strike by Mbark Boussoufa. Gent knocked Lyon and Valencia out in the Champions League group-stage to progress as Group H runners-up to Zenit St. Petersburg, finishing with three straight wins. In the last 15 matches, they have lost only three and went on to win in 11 of those fixtures. Furthermore, they have won nine of their last 10 fixtures on home soil.

Hein Vanhaezebrouck, has to decided whether to play with three of four at the back. Belgian striker Laurent Depoitre is likely to lead the line alongside Moses Simon. Hannes Van Der Bruggen and Peter Olayinka are out injured while Brecht Dejaegere has knock ahead of this one and is a major doubt. Mbark Boussouf is not on Champions League squad.

Wolfsburg sit eighth in the Bundesliga five points back from Hertha Berlin in the final Champions League qualification spot. Die Wolfe won 2-0 at home against promoted side Ingolstadt last weekend, their first win in eight league fixtures. Furthermore, they have picked up just a single point from their last five Bundesliga matches on their travels. The German club was less inconsistent in CHampions League where they beat Manchester United, CSKA Moscow and PSV Eindhoven (home and away) in order to top their group on 12 points.

The German outfit is without experienced defender Naldo for the trip to Belgium due to suspension. Bas Dost, Carlos Ascues, Diego Benaglio and Joshua Guilavogui are all injured. With Guilavogui out, Christian Trasch should continue in midfield. Max Kruse will start up front with Caligiuri, Vieirinha and Draxler in the offensive midfield trio.
