GERMANY v CAMEROON BETTING PREVIEW
Having recorded a narrow victory over Australia (3-2) and drawn 1-1 with Chile, Germany know that even a win in their final fixture may not be enough for them to top their group if the Chileans comfortably beat Australia. With their stalemate against Chile, the Germans are now unbeaten in 12 matches since their Euro 2016 semifinal exit. Furthermore, Low's men have kept 8 clean sheets 8 in that span. They have quality in all areas that should be too much for their opponents to handle. The two teams last met in a friendly game in 2014 just before the World Cup, the game ended 2-2.Manager Joachim Low will shuffle his pack for this game to keep the squad fresh. Lars Stindl, who has been Germany's stand-out performer in this tournament so far, ix expected to retain his berth and will be partnered by Sandro Wagner up front. Julian Draxler and Julian Brandt will support the attacking duo while Emre Can and Sebastian Rudy will be the playmakers. In defense, Shkodran Mustafi has played both matches and might be given a rest with Niklas Süle pushing for a recall.
After being comfortably beaten 0-2 by Chile in their opening match of the tournament, the Indomitable Lions were in desperate need of three points in their second match with Australia but they only recorded a 1-1 draw. As a result, they have won only one of their last five games, losing three of them and scoring just three goals in the process. Admittedly, up to this point, Hugo Broos’ side haven’t shown too much of the form that saw them become African champions earlier this year. The Indomitable Lions need to beat the world champions by three clear goals to advance to the knockout round.
Cameroon have stuck with the same starting XI for their first two games, and have only used 14 of their 23 players so far. Hugo Broos has no squad issues and will play their strongest team. This means that Benjamin Moukandjo, Vincent Aboubakar and Christian Bassogog will be the front trio of the starting 4-3-3 formation. The likes of Andre Zambo Anguissa, Sebastien Siani and Arnaud Sutchuin-Djoum are likely to feature from the off in midfield while the four man backline will be probably formed by Ernest Mabouka, Michael Ngadeau-Ngadjui, Adolphe Teikeu and Collins Fai.
