GERMANY v NORTHERN IRELAND BETTING PREVIEW
Germany made a perfect start to their World Cup qualifying campaign with back-to-back wins from their first two matches in Group C having beaten Norway and Czech Republic by scoring 3 goals each without reply. In truth they should boss this group and victory here would leave them firmly in pole position with 2 of their next 3 games against whipping boys San Marino.Mario Gotze should be utilised as a central striker again with Muller, Ozil and Draxler offering plenty of support. At the back, Benedikt Höwedes came on for Jonas Hector last time and will be pushing for a start while Jerome Boateng could play as right back to accommodate Shkodran Mustafi, with Joshua Kimmich possibly dropping to the bench.
After a decent Euro 2016 campaign, Northern Ireland have started the World Cup qualifying group well though with a 0-0 draw in Czech Republic and a 4-0 win over San Marino in Belfast at the weekend. Four points and a goal difference of +4 leaves the Irish sitting third in the group. Anyway, they need to show dramatic improvements in their away form as they are currently on a four match win-less run away from home.
Northern Ireland are likely to restore Kyle Lafferty to the starting lineup after he bagged a brace after coming on as a substitute against San Marino. Michael McGovern will start between the posts while McLaughlin, McAuley, Evans and Ferguson are likely to form the four-man defense.
