HUDDERSFIELD v MANCHESTER CITY BETTING PREVIEW
Huddersfield have won 12 of their last 14 games in all competitions and sit just five points behind Championship leaders Newcastle. In the previous FA Cup rounds they defeated the lower division sides Port Vale and Rochdale by the same 4-0 scoreline, with German striker Collin Quaner marking his Terriers debut from Union Berlin with a goal last time out.
Manager David Wagner is expected to rotate his side for this FA Cup clash. Aaron Mooy is ineligible due to the terms in his loan agreement with his parent club Manchester City. Elias Kachunga is expected to spearhead the attack while Isaiah Brown, Jack Payne and Joe Lolley are likely to start as offensive midfielders in a 4-2-3-1 formation. The likes of Sean Scannell and Keasey Palmer are sidelined while Jonathan Hogg is a major doubt.
Manchester City are enjoying a good run of form. A 2-0 win over Bournemouth have given the Citizens their fourth win in all competitions and the 2nd place in the Premier League standings, 8 points shy of league leaders Chelsea. In the previous FA Cup round, Man City eased past Crystal Palace with a comfortable 3-0 win. Prior to that Guardiola's men hammered West Ham 5-0 away form home. Their defense have been shaky until January but they have now notched three clean sheets in their last four games.
Pep Guardiola a fielded strong line-ups in the third and fourth rounds but he is expected to use a number of fringe players for this match, with a Champions League home tie with Monaco on the horizon. Gabriel Jesus will miss the next 2-3 months of action as the Brazilian suffered a broke metatarsal last week. That absence could see Sergio Aguero return to the starting XI but Nigerian youngster Kelechi Iheanacho is expected to lead the line. Aleix Garcia is likely to start behind the lone striker, as well as Fabian Delph in midfield. Vincent Kompany will partner Nicolas Otamendi at the heart of the four man backline.
