HULL CITY v ARSENAL BETTING PREVIEW
Hull City is battling to return to the Premier League. They have managed just one goal in their last four league games to slip to third in the Championship standings, 3 points behind 2nd placed Middlesbrough and 4 points behind leaders Burnley. They have only lost once at home all season against a strong Derby side. In the earlier rounds of the FA Cup Hull won 1-0 at home to Brighton and 3-1 away at Bury.
Steve Bruce is in the fortunate position of having a fully fit squad to choose from. Anyway, the league is the Tiger's priority at the moment and we could see a much changed lineup tonight, meaning rare starts for the likes of Shaun Maloney and Nick Powell. The latter will partner Adama Diomande up front.
Arsenal have failed to win in their last 5 games, with 3 losses and 2 draws. They will take a slight bit of confidence going into this one in the way in which they came back against Spurs in their game on Saturday on Saturday’s North London derby. Despite going down to 10 men, the Gunners came back from 2-1 down to snatch a draw. The Gunners are now eight points off top spot heading into the final nine games of the season and most probably heading out of the Champions League after losing the first leg of their Round of 16 match up with Barcelona 2-0 on home turf.
Arsene Wenger, who is under terrible pressure, is also likely to make a raft of changes to his starting Xi with Alex Iwobi, Theo Walcott and Calum Chambers are all likely to start. Laurent Koscielny is doubtful to start after a calf injury and a few regular starters like Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez might be rested. One man who certainly won’t play is Francis Coquelin, who is suspended after his red card at Spurs. His place is likely to go to fellow Frenchman Mathieu Flamini.
The Tigers have won their last three FA Cup games at home. Anyway, the Gunners have won each of their last five visits to Hull in all competitions, scoring at least twice on each occasion.
