JUVENTUS vs NAPOLI BETTING PREVIEW
Juventus had a bit of a midweek blip, as they drew 1-1 at Crotone on Wednesday. They now boast a 4 point advantage over Napoli and can't afford to lose points anymore. Prior to that, they were only knocked out from the Champions League by a Cristiano Ronaldo's late penalty in Madrid (winning the return match 3-1 at the Bernabeu after a 0-3 home defeat) and comfortably saw off Sampdoria 3-0 last weekend. Massimiliano Allegri's men have won their last 7 home matches, have kept a clean sheet in 8 of the last 9 Serie A fixtures at the Allian Stadium. Furthermore, Juve remain the best defence in the league, letting in only five goals at home this term.
The Old Lady could welcome Miralme Pjanic for this deciding clash but Mattia De Sciglio was sidelined earlier this week after suffering with a foot injury. The former is in contention with Claudio Marchisio to join Sami Khedira and Blais Matuidi in the middle of the park, the latter will be replaced by Stephan Lichtsteiner as right back. Up front, Gonzalo Higuain will lead the line with Douglas Costa and Paulo Dybala tucked behind the former Napoli striker. Federico Bernardeschi and Juan Cuadrado are viable alternatives, given that Dybala's recent form is quite poor.
Napoli capitalized with a 4-2 win against Udinese in midweek, altough they really struggled until the 70th minute mark as the Firulani were leading 2-1. Maurizio Sarri's men now trail Juve by four point but if they can edge out a victory here thing could get very interesting. Napoli have a more favourable schedule and a better goal differential going into the final stretch. Their away record is impressive as the "Donkeys" are undefeated in their last 29 away matches in Serie A, have kept a clean sheet in 6 of their last league games on the travel.
The Partenopei are close to full strength. Dries Mertens was rested in midweek so will start altough Arkadiusz Milik is pushing for a start after two good performances coming off the bench. In defense Kalidou Koulibaly is available again after a ban and will partner Raul Albiol, with Mario Rui and Elseid Hysaj as full backs. No changes are expected in midfield where Jorginho, Allan and Marek Hamsik will feature from the off. Faouzi Ghoulam remain the only long term absence for the visitors.
