Slaven Bilic may set up in a 4-2-3-1 formation with Ba leading their line. But he could make wholesale changes from the side that overcame Bursaspor at the weekend. Tolga Zengin is sidelined for the trip to Liverpool with a knee injury so Cenk Gonen is expected to start in goal. Ismail Koybasi and Alexander Milosevic will both miss the meeting through injury
Liverpool completely destroyed the Turks the last time that they face each other on Merseyside. Beisktas suffered their largest ever defeat in European competition when they were beaten 8-0 at Anfield back in the 2007/08 UEFA Champions League. Liverpool have won four and lost none of their last five home games against Turkish opposition. Besiktas have already played four matches against English sides this season, losing on aggregate to Arsenal in the Champions League qualifiers and winning and drawing against Tottenham in the Europa League.
