MANCHESTER UTD v WOLFSBURG BETTING PREVIEW

United are bidding to get their first points on the board in Champions League Group B on Wednesday after losing 2-1 against PSV in Eindhoven in the opening group game. But the Red Devils are flying high in the Premier League. They moved to the top of the Barclays Premier League on Saturday with a comfortable 3-0 success against Sunderland, after rivals Manchester City lost 4-1 at Tottenham earlier in the day. That was United's third consecutive win in the league as the defeated 3-1 at home to Liverpool and 3-2 Southampton away.

Marcos Rojo, Antonio Valencia, Michael Carrick and Ander Herrera are all doubtful and this could give Phil Jones the first start of the season. Juan Mata, Memphis Depay and Wayne Rooney are likely to support the lone striker Antony Martial in the "trequartista" position. Luke Shaw is out having broken his leg against PSV Eindhoven.

Wolfsburg recorded a slender 1-0 win over CSKA Moscow on matchday one but they are without a win in the last two Bundesliga outings after drawing 1-1 with Hannover and losing 5-1 to Bayern Munich last Wednesday, a match hard to forget as Lewandowski netted five times in nine minutes. They have 12 points to show from seven league outings and they are struggling away from home. The Wolves have drawn at Koln and Ingolstadt in addiction to the 5-1 loss in Munich.

The German club look set to be without their midfield enforcer, Luiz Gustavo. Furthermore, Vieirinha and Koen Casteels are long-term absentees while Robin Knoche is sidelined for another two weeks. Andre Schurrle and Max Kruse are in contention for a starting berth while Draxler and Bas Dost will retain their spot.
