NAPOLI vs MANCHESTER CITY BETTING PREVIEW 

Napoli are three points adrift of second-placed Shakhtar Donetsk and desperately need a victory to keep their qualification hopes alive. Their only seasonal losses in all competitions came in Champions League, away against Shakhtar (2-1) and Manchestger City (2-1). Domestically, the Partenopei are dominating the Serie A, having dropped only two points so far (a 0-0 draw against Inter Milan ten days ago). Last weekend they beat Sassuolo 3-1 on the road. Furthermore, they have scored three goals or more in five of their last six home matches.

Striker Arkadiusz Milik is the only absentee for Napoli, meaning that manager Maurizio Sarri will be forced to play with the same offensive trio - Dries Mertens, Lorenzo Insigne and Jose Callejon - once again. Amadou Diawara is favourite over Jorginho to start as playmaker while Marek Hamsik and Piotr Zielinski are expected to feature from the off in midfield. No changes are expected in defense with Faouzi Ghoulam and Elseid Hysaj starting as full backs, Kalidou Koulibaly and Raul Albiol as centre backs.



Manchester City top Group F with nine points from nine. They beat Feyenoord and Shakhtar Donets in the first two outings and overcame Napoli 2-1 at the Etihad last time out, thanks to early goals from Raheem Sterling and forward Gabriel Jesus. Pep Guardiola's men come into this game with 12 wins in 13 and are unbeaten over 90 minutes in their past 24 games - a club record. The Citizens, just like Napoli, have only dropped two points in their domestic league and Saturday’s 3-2 victory against West Brom extended their record on the road to seven wins from seven this season. They have scored 35 goals in just 10 Premier League games.

Sergio Aguero and Raheem Sterling will be looking to start on Wednesday after being rested at the weekend. They could replace Gabriel Jesus and Bernardo Silva in the front trio while Leroy Sanè is expected to retain his starting berth.
Benjamin Mendy and Vincent Kompany are still injured. Fabian Delph will play again as left back, with Kyle Walker on the other flank, John Stones and Nicolas Otamendi at the heart of the defense. In midfield, Guardiola is expected to confirm the usual trio of Fernandinho, David Silva and Kevin De Bruyne.
