Newcastle To Host First Racing Meeting In UK Since Lockdown
Horse racing in the UK finally returns on 1st June with Newcastle planning to host the first meeting since lockdown began. Newmarket, Lingfield, Kempton, Yarmouth and Chelmsford will follow later on. This is the news every racing punter was wating for, so let's take a look on how to profit from horse racing resuming.

Newcastle to host first horse racing meeting on Monday, June 1st

The last horse racing meeting to take place in Britain happened on March 17, when racing, along with all other sports, was forced to halt due to COVID-19 pandemic.

Newcastle Racecourse will be hosting the first horse racing event in the UK on Monday - a bumper 10-race card. It will be the first sport to make a return anywhere in the UK.

The meeting will begin at 1.00pm, with races every 35 minutes until the final event at 6.15pm. The Betway Handicap (5.05 pm) will be the most notable race on the card.

Newcastle will be hosting 10 further races next Tuesday followed by more on Thursday and on Saturday.

Of course, you will find horse racing predictions every day, on every meeting here at BetAndSkill, including of course Newcastle racing tips.

All racing will take place behind closed doors until further notice. Plus, only essential staff will be in attendance and a maximum of 12 horses will contest each race.

It will be a fantastic week of racing, with the Coronation Cup at Newmarket followed by 2000 and 1000 Guineas on Saturday and Sunday respectively.

Other great races will be Lingfield’s Derby and Oaks, while the Newcastle's Sagaro Stakes - which had been due to run at Ascot - is another highlight of next Saturday as well as the Brigadier Gerard Stakes scheduled at Haydock on Sunday.
