NOTTINGHAM FOREST vs ARSENAL BETTING PREVIEW
Managerless Nottingham Forest sit in the bottom half of the Championship. They are winless in five matches and have failed to score in their last three. Gary Brazil has taken temporary charge of Forest since the departure of Mark Warburton after successive home defeats to Sheffield Wednesday (0-3) and Sunderland (0-1) over the Christmas period. In his first game in charge Brazil managed to earn a goalless draw against Leeds.
Gary Brazil has no new suspension or injury concerns as only Matts Mills and Jack Hobbs remain sidelined through injury. He will field a 4-2-3-1 formation in which Daryl Murphy is expected to lead the line, altough he sat out on New Year's Day due to a knock. Kieran Dowell, on loan from Everton, Ben Osborn and Barrie McKay will form the offensive midfield trio while Liam Bridcutt and David Vaughan will anchor the midfield. The likes of Daniel Fox, Zach Clough, Mustapha Carayol and Andreas Bouchalakis will be hoping for recalls but are expected to be benched.
Arsenal have recently given away penalties in their draws against West Brom and Chelsea, results which have left them five points adrift of 4th-placed Liverpool in the Premier League table. The Gunners are unbeaten in the lat nine outings but five of those games have ended in draws. They sit sixth in the top tier and 23 points behind high-flying leaders Manchester City. Arsene Wenger's men have only conceded four times in their last five away matches - and let in just three goals in six ties on their way to last season’s FA Cup triumph. They will hope to have enough to see off Forest – a side they beat 4-0 in the League Cup last season
Wenger is struggling with injury problems at present and will almost certainly make drastic changes. Nacho Monreal, Sead Kolasinac and Laurent Koscielny all remain unavailable, meaning that Mathieu Debuchy, Per Mertesacker and Rob Holding will start at the back. Granit Xhaka has been ruled out due to a slight groin strain, Olivier Giroud and Aaron Ramsey also miss out. The likes of Theo Walcott, Danny Welbeck, Alex Iwobi, Francis Coquelin, Reiss Nelson and Mohamed Elneny could all come in for this game. David Ospina is set to start between the posts.
