In Champions League, under Frank Lampard, the Blues comfortably topped the Group E having picked up 14 points from their six games against Sevilla, Rennes and Krasnodar. The Blues have something to prove as they have not progressed beyond this stage since 2013/14.

The hosts will be without the services of key defender Jose Gimenez due to a myscular problem. Stefan Savic will join Mario Hermoso and Felipe in the three man backline. Hector Herrera is likely to miss the first leg after testing positive for Coronavirus earlier this month. Thomas Lemar and Moussa Dembele returned to first team duties last weekend after testing negative but are expected to make the bench. Up front, Luis Suarez and Joao Felix are both available and should spearhead the attack, with Saul Niguez behind them.
Chelsea (4-3-3): Mendy; Azpilicueta, Thiago Silva, Rudiger; James, Kante, Jorginho, Alonso; Mount, Abraham, Werner
Tammy Abraham is available after overcoming an ankle injury suffered at the weekend. Timo Werner and Mason Mount should support him up front while Kai Havertz and Christian Pulisic are both doubts but could still travel. In midfield, N'Golo Kante and Mateo Kovacic are in contention for a starting berth as well as Ben Chilwell and Marcos Alonso for the left wing back spot. Thiago Silva is expected to return to the starting XI for this game, replacing Kurt Zouma at the heart of the back.
