This will be the last friendly for the Three Lions before they European Championship debut in the Group D.

England vs Romania Betting Preview

England earned a narrow 1-0 victory over Austria on Wednesday courtesy of aa Bukayo Saka's second-half strike. They were less than impressive but Southgate is confident the team will start firing all cylinders. The Three Lions are on a five match winning streak. Plus, they have scored 15 goals in their last five home games and kept a clean sheet in four of those.

Romania have failed to qualify for the Euros having lost to Iceland in the playoffs. They struggled in recent times and have recorded three losses on the bounce. Two of these defeats were to minnows Georgia (2-1 last Wednesday) and Armenia. The Tricolours finished third in Nations League Group B1 last year, five points behind table toppers Austria. They have kept just one clean sheet in their last 15 international matches and conceded 18 goals in the last 10 outings.

Best Odds

England are 1/4 with Unibet to win on Sunday, with Romania priced at 11/1 with William Hill to come away with the victory. A draw is priced at 33/5 with VBet.

Probable Line-Ups

England (4-2-3-1): Pickford; Trippier, Stones, Coady, Shaw; Bellingham, Rice; Sancho, Mount, Sterling; Calvert-Lewin

Gareth Southgate is expected to put out a strong line-up with players returning from Chelsea, Man City and Man UTD after their European final exploits. Anyway, Harry Maguire is still sidelined and the Manchester United centre back is also expected to be out of the first match of the Euros against Croatia. Trent Alexander-Arnold has been ruled out of Euro 2020 with a thigh injury while Kalvin Phillips and Jordan Henderson are doubtful. Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Jadon Sancho and Raheem Sterling could be handed attacking roles, with Mason Mount starting as number ten. Jack Grealish is still being managed after missing 12 games in a row for Aston Villa towards the end of the season.

Romania (4-2-3-1): Nita; Sorescu, Chiriches, Nedelcearu, Camora; Stanciu, Marin; Hagi, Cicaldau, Maxim; Keseru

The visitors could also make plenty of changes, with Tiberiu Capusa, Olimpiu Morutan and Adrian Paun all expected to make their international debuts at some stage. Rangers attacker Ianis Hagi is also likely to be in the starting XI. He will support the lone striker Claudiu Keseru alongside Alexandru Cicaldau and Alexandru Maxim. Sassuolo's centre back Vlad Chiriches will lead the four man backline while Raxvan Marin and Nicolae Claudiu Stanciu will anchor the midfield. The likes of Andrei Burca, Nicusor Bancu and are Iulian Cristea through injury.

England v Romania Betting Tips

England have won their last five games and we expect them to maintain their momentum ahead of the European Championships. We expect a commanding victory here, so we are backing England to win NIL and the 3-0 scoreline. As to goalscorers, since Calvert-Lewin could be replaced by Harry Kane at half-time, we would back Mason Mount to score.
