IRELAND v BOSNIA BETTING PREVIEW
The Republic of Ireland did well to secure an away draw in the first leg as Robbie Brady scored the opening goal of qualifying playoff first leg on Friday, while Edin Dzeko scored late equalizer. They could book passage to Euro 2016 with a 0-0 draw. Another 1-1 draw would see the tie go to extra-time and a 2-2 result or any draw with a higher score would send Bosnia to the finals in France next year. The Boys in Green conceded just seven goals in qualification, so have the pedigree to hold out for a goalless draw on Monday night.Ireland boss Martin O’Neill will be hoping that John O’Shea and Shane Long are all available for Monday. Stoke City striker Jonathan Walters will be back from suspension while Shay Given, David Meyler, Rob Elliot, Paul McShane and David McGoldrick all miss out through injury.
Bosnia dominated much of the first leg, both in terms of shots at goal and the possession but will no doubt find this 2nd leg match even more difficult than the first on. They are running on a four match unbeaten streak since losing to Belgium in qualifying and they have scored in each of their last seven internationals played.
Everton midfielder Muhamed Besic is expected to be included for Bosnia and he is likely to replace defender Edin Cocalic, who was surprisingly used in midfield in Zenica. Captain Edin Dzeko and full-back Mensur Mujdza have suffered injuries in the first leg and they are both rated doubtful for the match. Anyway, we expect Ibisevic and Dzeko to lead the line once again while Visca and Lulic will play as wingers in midfield. Chelsea's goalkeeper Asmir Begovic will start between the posts.
Ireland are unbeaten in 8 previous games at home (W5 D3), keeping five clean sheets in the process. There were under 2.5 goals scored in each of Ireland’s last five home games.
