ROMA vs CHELSEA BETTING PREVIEW 

Roma had been far from impressive in their first two Champions League Group C fixtures, drawing 0-0 at home against Atletico Madrid and securing a narrow 2-1 away win at Qarabag. Anyway, the Giallorossi looked the better team when drawing 3-3 with Chelsea at Stamford Bridge a fortnight ago. Since then, they have recorded three 1-0 victories in Serie A - against Torino on the road, Crotone and Bologna at the Stadio Olimpico. They have only lost once in 10 games, a 1-0 reverse to current Serie A leaders Napoli. As a result, they are 5th in the table standing with one game in hand. Plus, they have the best defensive record in the division with just 5 goals conceded in 10 games.

Kostas Manolas remains out through injury and will be replaced by Juan Jesus at centre-back alongside Federico Fazio. Up front, Edin Dzeko will be flanked by Alessandro Florenzi and Diego Perotti. The likes of Patrik Schick, Gregoire Defrel, Emerson Palmieri, Kevin Strootman and Stephan El Shaarawy are further doubts for the Italians, though the latter pair could be available for Roma manager Eusebio Di Francesco. Rick Karsdorp suffered an ACL injury at his seasonal return and will miss for the next 6-8 months.



Chelsea have collected 7 points from their first three Champions League games after wins over Qarabag 6-0 on Matchday and Atletico where they came away with a 2-1 victory. The Blues currently have a two-point lead over Roma and five-point lead over Atletico. Since the 3-3 home draw against the Giallorossi, Antonio Conte's men have also won all 3 of their domestic league games - over Watford (4:2) and Everton (2:1) at home, and away at Bournemouth (0:1) at the weekend. They remain 9 points shy of Manchester City in the Premier League table.

Victor Moses and N'Golo Kante are still expected to miss out, with Davide Zappacosta and Cesc Fabregas likely to be their replacement. Coach Antonio Conte now has Danny Drinkwater back after a calf strain but the former Leicester midfield is not expected to start. The Italian manager will stick with his 3-4-2-1 system in which Alvaro Morata will be supported by Pedro and Eden Hazard in attack. The three man backline should be formed by Cesar Azpilicueta, Gary Cahill and David Luiz, with former Roma's defender Antonio Rudiger as backup option.
