Serbia need to win in order to qualify for the next stage

Serbia narrowly beat Costa Rica 1-0 in the first match but fell to a 2-1 loss to Switzerland. Hence, they come into this game 3rd in the group, a point behind Switzerland and Brazil and only a win will send them to the knockouts stage. A draw would only be enough for them if Switzerland are beaten by more than one goal against Costa Rica. Mladen Krstajic's men are talented and phisically strong, so we expect them to frustrate's Brazil attacks once again.

Filip Kostic started the 2-1 loss to Switzerland on the left and is in contention with Adem Ljajic for that berth,  while the rest of the squad should remain unchanged. This means that Aleksandar Mitrovic will lead the line, supported by offensive midfielders such as Dusan Tadic and Sergej Milinkovic-Savic. The likes of Nemanja Matic and Luka Milivojevic will play in the middle of the park, while the backline will be formed by Ivanovic, Milenkovic, Tosic and Kolarov.

Brazil just need to avoid defeat to confirm a last-16 spot

After an unconvincing 1-1 draw against Switzerland in their opening match, Brazil were far from at their best against Costa Rica and were level at 0-0 after 90 minutes. Anyway,  Coutinho stepped up once again and finished through the legs of Keylor Navas, before Neymar poked home to make it 2-0. As consequence, The Canarinha know a draw against Serbia will be enough to reach the knockout stage. The Brazilians have failed to score in just one of their last 14 competitive matches and are unbeaten in 13.

Tite was forced to replace left-back Danilo who missed out the clash with Costa Rica through injury. Fagner is expected to feature from the off as right back, joining Joao Miranda, Thiago Silva and Marcelo in the four man backline. Renato Augusto and Fernandinho are both pushing for a starting spot in midfield, but the likes of Paulinho, Casemiro and Philippe Coutinho are favourite to start. Douglas Costa is out with a hamstring injury sustained last time out, meaning Willian will keep his place on the right.
