SPAIN U21 v ITALY U21 BETTING PREVIEW
Group B winners Spain were first to go through to the semis with a game to spare on Tuesday. They struck nine times and collected maximum points as they eliminated Portugal (3-1), Serbia (1-0) and Macedonia (5-0). The Spaniards last met the Azzurrini in an International Friendly on 27th March and they won 2-1 that clash. Their form is excellent at the moment, as they have 5 straight victories. Furthermore, Spain are unbeaten in 12 matches – winning nine and drawing three.Albert Celades rested several of his big guns in the "meaningless" match against Serbia and is expected to revert to his favorite starting XI. Sandro Ramirez will continue to spearhead the attack with Gerard Deulofeu and Marcos Asensio on his flanks, with Inaki Williams and Borja Mayoral providing further optiosn. In midfield, the likes of Saul Niguez, Denis Suarez and Marcos Llorente look sure starters. Gaya and Hector Bellerin will play as full back while Athletic Bilbao goalkeeper Arrizabalaga will start between the posts.
Italy booked their place on Saturday, as a 1-0 defeat of Germany - courtesy of a goal scored by Federico Bernardeschi in the first half - was enough for them to finish top of Group C by virtue of a superior head-to-head record against their opponents. Prior to that, the Azzurrini beat 2-0 Denmark on their opening game and suffered a surprising 3-1 defeat at the hands of Czech Republic. Their defense is rock solid - barring the game against the Czechs, Italy has only conceded 3 goals in the last 12 official games.
Striker Domenico Berardi and right back Andrea Conti are out through suspension, meaning that Andrea Petagna will return to lead the line and Davide Calabria will start the match. This will also see Federico Chiesa featuring from the off in the offensive trio alongside Federico Bernardeschi. No changes are expected in midfield despite the fatigue, as Lorenzo Pellegrini, Roberto Gagliardini and Marco Benassi were impressive against Germany.
