TOTTENHAM v BESIKTAS BETTING PREVIEW

In the opening round of Europa League Group C fixtures, Tottenham held Partizan to a 0-0 draw in Belgrade, while Besiktas were denied all three points when Asteras Tripolis equalised late on in Turkey to clinch a 1-1 draw.

Under new boss Mauricio Pochettino, Spurs made a strong start to the 2014-15 campaign, winning their first four matches but now they are currently on the 8th place in Premier League having recorded only one win in five matches, and that win came in the League One Cup against a far inferior team. They did manage to hold Arsenal to a 1 – 1 draw at the weekend even though they did take the lead with a Chadli goal in the second half.

Besiktas are on the second place on their domestic league having won and drawn two domestic league games, and their most recent result is a disappointing 1-1 draw against Eskisehirspor.

Tottenham remain without Kyle Walker and Danny Rose. Etienne Capoue is a doubt and he is likely to miss the game too. Summer signings Vorm, Fazio, Davies and Stambouli are all expected to start. Harry Kane will lead the attack as lone striker.

Mustafa Pektemek is the only doubt for Besiktas as there are no other worries for coach Slaven Bilic. Demba Ba will lead the line for the visitors in the 4-2-3-1 formation. They will be relying on top goal scorer Olcay Sahan who has so far scored three league goals.

Besiktas arrive in north London for the second time in as many months, following their defeat to Arsenal in the Champions League play-offs at the Emirates Stadium. The Turkish team is extremely difficult to break down having conceded more than one goal just once in their last 18 matches.
