TOTTENHAM vs WEST HAM BETTING PREVIEW
Totteham are in fifth in the Premier League and enter this clash on the back of a 2-0 away victory over Swansea last Tuesday, their fifth success in the last 6 fixtures. They also swept aside Burnley and Southampton over the festive period. Furthermore, Spurs have won 6 of their last 7 home matches in the top flight. The Lilywhites fell to a 3-2 loss to West Ham at Wembley earlier in the season as they were knocked out of the Carabao Cup. Anyway, Spurs won 3-2 at the London Stadium in the league.
Harry Kane should be fit to start after being benched for the Swansea game due to an illness. He will spearhead the attack while Dele Alli, Christian Eriksen and Son Heung Min are likely to be tucked behind him. Mousa Dembele is a doubt with a hip problem, Eric Dier is expcted to be rested or to replace Davinson Sanchez in defense. As a result, Moussa Sissoko and Harry Winks will probably anchor the midfield with Erik Lamela viable alternative. In defense, Serge Aurier is expected to feature from the off, with Kieran Trippier set to make way. The likes of Jan Vertonghen and Ben Davies will retain their starting berth as Toby Alderweireld and Danny Rose are out through injury.
West Ham also played on Tuesday night and Andy Carroll was the Hammers' hero with two goals in a last-gasp 2-1 win against West Brom. They have claimed 11 points from their last six matches but only 21 from their first 21 games. David Moyes' men remain deeply entrenched in the relegation fight as but dropped points against Newcastle and Bournemouth have seen them fall back into trouble. West Ham are W1 D4 L6 on the road this year and have scored just twelve goals in those eleven games, however are unbeaten in back-to-back away league matches. Plus, they have scored at least 2 goals in their last 4 league matches.
James Collins and Aaron Cresswell are expected to miss the match while Michail Antonio is unlikely to play as he continues to struggle with a groin strain. Declan Rice is likely to play from the off in defense, joining Angelo Ogbonna and Winston Reid in the three man backline. Arthur Masuaku and Pablo Zabaleta will probably retain their starting berth while Mark Noble and Cheickh Kouyatè should play in the middle of the park. Up front, Marko Arnautovic or Andy will lead the line while Manuel Lanzini and Andrè Ayew are likely to start as offensive midfielders. The likes of Edimilson Fernandes, James Collins, Diafra Sakho, Sam Byram and Jose Fonte remain in the treatment room.
