Valencia have a mountain to climb now as they conceded a late goal and suffered a 3-1 loss at th Emirates Stadium 7 days ago. That defeat completed a run of three straight losses for the first time since February 2018, but they got back on track at the weekend with a 6-2 thrashing of Huesca in La Liga. Valencia boast a strong form of their own fans. Los Che are unbeaten in their last 11 home games in the Europa League (W9 D2) and have been defeated just twice in the La Liga at home this term.

The Spanish side is without midfielder Geoffrey Kondogbia and winger Denis Cheryshev. Manager Marcelino may opt to make minimal changes to the team which blitzed Huesca at the weekend. That would see Rodrigo Moreno and Santi Mina retaining their berth in attack, with Gonçalo Guedes and Carlos Soler providing support from the flanks. Francis Coquelin and Dani Parejo will start in the middle of the park while Gabriel Paulista and Ezequiel Garay will form the centre-back pair. Josè Gayà and Cristiano Piccini are likely to feature form the off as left and right back respectively.

The visitors are without Aaron Ramsey, Denis Suarez and Hector Bellerin. Emery is likely to hand a recall to Laurent Koscielny with the Frenchman expected to partner Sokratis and Shkodran Mustafi at the heart of the back. Up front, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette are expected to spearhead the attack with Alex Iwobi favourite over Mesut Ozil and Henrikh Mhkitarian to start as number ten. Matteo Guendouzi and Granit Xhaka will anchor the midfield, with Ainsley Maitland Niles and Sead Kolasinac out wide.
