WALES v SERBIA BETTING PREVIEW
Wales are still unbeaten in their 2018 World Cup qualification campaign, but have drawn two of their opening three matches. After hammering Moldova 4-0 and sharing spoils with Austria, the Dragons suffered a slip-up against Georgia, drawing 1-1 at home. The Welsh team, semifinalist at Euro 2016, are not the same one that were beaten 6-1 by Serbia in Novi Sad four years ago.
Gareth Bale and Sam Vokes are expected to lead the line in a 5-3-2 formation. Aaron Ramsey is back in the squad and could make his first appearance of the campaign while Ben Davies will miss the game through injury. Bristol City’s Adam Matthews or Swansea' Neil Taylor are likely to replace him as left back. James Collins is another important absence for the Dragons.
Serbia have started their campaign strongly and sit top of the group having collected 7 points from a possible 9 so far. They were very impressive in their 3-2 victory over Austria in October and are unbeaten in seven matches, with their most recent defeat coming in a 1-0 friendly loss to Poland in March.
Dusan Tadic, Aleksandar Mitrovic and Filip Kostic are expected to start up-front in a 3-4-3 formation. Nemanja Matic is back in the squad and expected to start. Defensive midfielders Jagos Vukovic and Ljubomir Fejsa have withdrawn due to injury, while fellow defender Dusan Tosic faces a fitness test. The uncapped goalkeeper Aleksandar Jovanovic, midfielder Nemanja Radoja and striker Aleksandar Pesic are in the squad.
