WEST HAM v MANCHESTER CITY BETTING PREVIEW

West Ham have halted a three-game losing run by beating Crystal Palace and Middlesbrough in the last two matchweeks, making it 5 wins from their last 7 league outings that have lifted them into mid table. Their main concern will be their poor recent record against top-six sides: they have lost five of the seven they’ve played against top opposition this season, including a 1-5 to Arsenal and a 0-2 loss to Manchester UTD at their own turf.

Dimitri Payet has moved to Marseille but new signings Jose Fonte and Robert Snodgrass are expected to earn their debuts as Slaven Bilic is likely to stick with the 4-4-2 formation. Andy Carroll and Michael Antonio will start up front while Mark Noble and Pedro Obiang perhaps starting in central midfield, altough Cheikhou Kouyate may be available after returning from the AFCON. Angelo Ogbonna is out for the season. The likes of Alvaro Arbeloa, Arthur Masuaku, Gokhan Tore and Diafra Sakho remain sidelined while Andre Ayew is still on international duty with Ghana.



Manchester City's first season under Pep Guardiola hasn't exactly gone to plan either. They are 12 points behind Chelsea heading into the midweek fixtures, two points away from the top four. Anyway, Guardiola's men find themselves through to the latter stages of both the FA Cup and the Champions League. The reverse match in Premier League saw Man City beat Slaven Bilic's men by a 3-1 scoreline. The Citizens ran out 0-5 winners when they met West Ham in the FA Cup earlier this month and have lost just one of their last eight away games against the Hammers.

Sergio Aguero and Gabriel Jesus are slight doubts for the trip to the London Stadium due to minor knocks but are expected to be in contention. Vincent Kompany is expected to drop to the bench despite getting through 90 minutes against Crystal Palace without any problem. Fernandinho has completed his four-match ban at the weekend and his expected to partner Yaya Tourè in the middle of the park. Nicolas Otamendi and Pablo Zabaleta did not feature in the FA Cup on Saturday so they look set to return in defence, perhaps alongside Aleksandar Kolarov and Gael Clichy. Ilkay Gundogan remains sidelined with a long-term knee problem.
