BARCELONA v REAL SOCIEDAD BETTING PREVIEW
Barcelona took a narrow 0–1 win against Real Sociedad at Anoeta in the first leg. They enter this match on the back of four straight victories in all competitions, including the 4-0 hammering of Eibar at the weekend. Barça have reduced the gap behind Real Madrid. Now they trail their rivals by two points, but the Blancos have one game in hand. The teams have met two more times over the past year, all at Anoeta. La Real have earned a narrow 1-0 win back in April, and a draw back in November in La Liga. Anyway, The Blaugrana have won their last 15 home matches against Real Sociedad in all competitions.
Sergio Busquets has injured his ankle in the 4-0 hammering of Eibar and it is Andre Gomes who should take his place in front of the back four alongside Ivan Rakitic and Arda Turan. The MSN trio Messi-Suarez-Neymar is expected to lead the line while Aleix Vidal and Jordi Alba will start as full backs.
Real Sociedad come into the clash on the back of a 1-0 win over Celta de Vigo at the weekend and sit 4th in the league, level on points with Atletico Madrid and 8 points shy of La Liga leaders Real Madrid. They have won four of their last five league games. Of course, they know it’s very hard to beat the Catalans at the Camp Nou, as we have seen them lose just one match at home this term (1-2 to Alaves back in September). Furthermore, Real Sociedad have not scored in either of their last three trips to Barcelona.
The visitors will have Asier Illarramendi back from suspension and the former Real Madrid player will start in midfield alongside Xabi Prieto and David Zurutuza. Up front, Carlos Vela, Willian Jose and Mikel Oyarzabal will form the "tridente". The likes of Mikel Gonzalez, Carlos Martinez, Mikel Bergara and Imanol Agirretxe are out injured.
