Belgium have won the last three without conceding

Belgium won their opening match 3-0 away to Iceland. The have won their last three matches and haven't conceded a goal in that time. In fact, after the 2-0 victory over England in the 3rd place play-off at the World Cup, Roberto Martinez's men have defeat 4-0 Scotland away from home in a friendly match last month. The Belgians were the top scorers in Russia and they’ve continued that form since the end of the tournament. With 10 wins in last 11 matches and just one loss in last 28 matches, Belgium has been unstoppable at home in recent years.

Mousa Dembele, Jan Vertonghen, Kevin De Bruyne and Adnan Januzaj are all out through injury but quality remain assured with top players such as Eden Hazard, Dries Mertens and Romelu Lukaku. These thrre players should form the front trio while Axel Witsel and Youri Tielemans are expected to anchor the midfield. Yannick Carrasco and Thomas Meunier should start as wing backs in a 3-4-3 system. The likes of Toby Alderweireld and Thomas Vermaelen should partner Vincent Kompany at the back. Christian Kabasele (Watford) is also part of the 26-man squad and could play at some stage.

Switzerland thrashed Iceland 6-0 in their first group game but suffered a narrow 1-0 defeat against England at the King Power Stadium. La Nati also managed to make it through the group stages in the World Cup, but their journey ended shortly after as they were beaten by Sweden in the last 16. They have lost their last two games away from home but scored in five of their six away qualifiers on the way to Russia 2018. Switzerland suffered a 2-1 defeat when the teams met in a friendly in 2016. That was their first h2h meeting after a long break of 27 years.

Michael Lang is finally fit and should start at right back. This could be the only change for Vladimir Petkovic, meaning that Manuel Akaniu, Fabian Schar and Ricardo Rodriguez will complete the backline. Granit Xhaka will be supported by Denis Zakaria in midfield, while the likes of Xherdan Shaqiri, Breel Embolo and Steven Zuber will play in the offensive midfield positions behind the lone striker Haris Seferovic. Arsenal's Stephan Lichtsteiner misses out here as well as Kevin Mbabu, Johan Djourou and Admir Mehmedi. Josip Drmic of Borussia Monchengladbach is also out of the squad.
