BORUSSIA DORTMUND v BAYERN MUNICH BETTING PREVIEW
Borussia Dortmund are five points behind their arch-rivals following a routine 2-0 win at Darmstadt. They have picked up 31 out of 33 points at home this season (winning their last 7 matches at their own turf) and kept a clean sheet in 5 of their last 6 matches in Bundesliga.Lukasz Piszczek and Marco Reus, who were both rested last time out, are expected to return in the starting XI. Defender Sokratis Papastathopoulos is still out with a hamstring issue and could be replaced by Sven Bender while Roman Burki's fitness is in question as he recovers from illness.
Bayern slipped up against Mainz in midweek, losing 1:2 at the Allianz Arena, only their second of the season. In addition Bayern also gave up a 2-0 lead in Italy to draw 2-2 with Juventus in the Champions League a result that could come back to bite them. Anyway, Bayern can virtually seal the Bundesliga title with a win since they currently hold a sizable, five-point lead atop the table.
The Bavarians remain without injured trio Javi Martinez, Jerome Boateng and Holger Badstuber but Franck Ribéry and Mario Götze are finally back. Mehdi Benatia is likely to be partnered once again by David Alaba at the heart of the defense but Guardiola could restore Joshua Kimmich to the starting lineup after conceding twice in midweek.
Recent history suggests a big advantage for Bayern, who won the home leg by a comprehensive 5-1 margin. Dortmund have come out on top in just one of the last seven Bundesliga clashes against Bayern (D2 L4) and have lost each of their last three direct encounters.
