BRIGHTON vs EVERTON BETTING PREVIEW
Brighton have won two of their last four matches - 1:0 against Newcastle and 3:1 against West Brom - and currently are 14th in the table standings, level on points with Everton. The Seagulls met top clubs such as Manchester City, Arsenal and Leicester City already and prevented a complete walkover despite losing those three games by the same 2-0 scoreline. With Southampton, Stoke City and Crystal Palace next to visit the south coast before the end of November, there is a good chance for Hughton's men to put some further distance between themselves and the bottom three.
Davy Propper and Glenn Murray are both available and the former should continue next to Dale Stephens in central midfield. Anthony Knockaert may return in place of Jose Izquierdo, with Solly March retaining his starting spot out wide. Up front, Tomer Hemed is banned and Sam Baldock is out through injury. As a result, Izzy Brown is expected to lead the line, with Pascal Gross behind him. In defense, Gaeten Bong may get the nod again ahead of Markus Suttner while Bruno, Shane Duffy and Lewis Dunk should retain their berth.
It has been a very disappointing start to the season for Everton with pressure growing on manager Ronald Koeman. They have won only two of their last 10 in all competitions and are still seeking their first away win. The Toffees have scored only one goal in their three away Premier League games so far this season. A 1-0 home defeat to Burnley last time out left Everton down in 16th position in the table, while only one point collected from the first six available means they are also facing an uphill battle to progress from the Europa League group stage.
Ronald Koeman is still searching for the best formula in attack, so while Gylfi Sigurdsson, Dominic Calvert-Lewin and perhaps Wayne Rooney appear more likely starters. Oumar Niasse, Nikola Vlasic, Davy Klaassen and Sandro Ramirez provide further options. Tom Davies could play as offensive midfielders while Idrissa Gueye and Morgan Schneiderlin should both keep their places in central midfield. Phil Jagielka could challenge Ashley Williams for a start alongside Michael Keane in central defence. The likes of Ramiro Funes Mori, Ross Barkley, Seamus Coleman, Yannick Bolasie and James McCarthy remain sidelined.
