CHILE v GERMANY BETTING PREVIEW

Chile have only lost one competitive match since October, but they have won only one of their four matches at the Confederations Cup. La Roja outlasted Portugal in penalties to reach the final, as Manchester City goalkeeper Claudio Bravo was the hero for his national side once more, continuing his penalty shootout heroics by keeping out all three of Portugal’s attempts. Prior to that match, they opened their Confederations Cup campaign with a 2-0, and drew 1-1 against Germany and Australia.

Juan Antonio Pizzi may opt against making changes to the starting despite playing 120 minutes last time out. As a result, Alexis Sanchez and Edu Vargas are likely to start out wide in attack, with Arturo Vidal retaining his role as false nine. The four man backline should be formed by Gary Medel and Gonzalo Jara as centre-backs with Marcelo Diaz, Charles Aranguiz and Pablo Hernandez the three starters in midfield, Mauricio Isla and Jean Beausejour as left and full backs.

Germany dismantled Mexico 4-1 on Thursday to advance to the final, producing their best performance of the tournament. That win extended their unbeaten streak to 14 matches in all competitions. Since losing out to France in the Euro 2016 semifinals, the team has picked up 11 wins and 3 draws. Furthermore, the World Champions have scored an impressive 23 goals in their last six matches.

Joachim Low should stick with the starting XI that featured from the off last time out, altough he managed to rest the likes of Shkodran Mustafi, Niklas Sule and Sandro Wagner. This means that Joshua Kimmich, Antonio Rudiger and Matthias Ginter are likely to start at the back while Lars Stindl and Julian Draxler should support the lone striker Timo Werner up front. In midfield, Leon Goretzka and Sebastian Rudy will start in the middle of the park, with Jonas Hector and Benjamin Henrichs.
