Football action never ends as it's time for the Copa America. This year's tournament goes underway in Chile on Thursday night with Argentina, Brazil, Chile and Colombia the favourite teams to lift the cup. COPA AMERICA BETTING PREVIEW

In a competition that often sees the host nation emerge victorious, Chile are third favourite to win the tournament. Their Group A is quite easy as they were drawn with Ecuador, Mexico and Bolivia. Jorge Sampaoli's squad were arguably the most impressive South American side at last year's World Cup and it took Brazil a penalty shoot-out to eliminate la Roja in the last-16 round.

Group B sees Argentina clearly favourite. Gerardo Martino’s side have been grouped with both 2011 finalists, Uruguay and Paraguay, along with rank outsiders Jamaica who were invited to participate after Japan and China both declined. The Albiceleste’s form has been remarkably strong since losing out to Germany in extra-time in the World Cup final 11 months ago with 6 win out of 8 matches, including victories over Germany, Croatia, Bolivia and Ecuador.
Uruguay don't seem as strong as four years ago. Anyway, even without Luis Suarez, who is suspended after biting Giorgio Chiellini at last year's World Cup, Oscar Tabarez's side hold a well-rounded squad capable of causing major upsets in this tournaments.

Group C is clearly a two horse race, with Brazil and Colombia the obvious favourite teams ahead of Peru and Venezuela.
Brazil have been extremely solid since their humiliating World Cup exit last year, winning all nine of the matches they have played conceding just two goals in the process, beating their all three biggest rivals for the Copa America title (Argentina, Colombia and Chile) over the last nine months.
After being eliminated by Brazil in the quarterfinals of last year's World Cup, a result that reduced James Rodriguez to tears, Colombia will have a chance to exact revenge at the Copa America. Jose Pekerman’s men have managed to win 7 and lost just one since their exit at the World Cup.A lot of people think that COlombia are weak in defence but with 13 goals conceded in 13 World Cup qualifying matches, the Cafeteros boast the best defensive record in South America.

Surprises? If you are looking for an outsider to potentially make waves by reaching the final, a clever choice could be Mexico. Defensively very strong, El Tri impressed at the World Cup and were very close to putting out the Netherlands. They have a youth squad and all players would like to impress their coach as they are preparing next month's Gold Cup.
