Since Mario Mandzukic has retired from international football, Eintracht Frankfurt striker Ante Rubic is likely to lead the line for the hosts. Inter Milan pair Marcelo Brozovic and Sime Vrsaljko missed the last set of international fixtures, though both have since recovered and are expected to feature this time around. Andrej Kramaric and Mateo Kovacic are in competition to start for the home side with the Hoffenheim attacking midfeld favourite to get the nod. At the back, Dejan Lovren and Domagoj Vida will be flanked by Vrsaljko and Josip Pivaric.

Croatia v Spain betting preview
Croatia will be looking for revenge after losing 6-0 the reverse match
After an impressive Russia 2018 campaign, where they suffered a 4-2 loss at the hands of France in the World Cup final, Croatia returned to action with a friendly draw at Portugal before being hammered 6-0 by Spain in the reverse fixture of this Nations League clash. The Blazers then shared the spoils against England 0-0, meaning they are yet to score a goal in the Nations League. They have only their pride to play for as they are mathematically out of the Group. Zlatko Dalic's men are unbeaten at home since October 2013 and have scored in each of their last 21 home matches.Since Mario Mandzukic has retired from international football, Eintracht Frankfurt striker Ante Rubic is likely to lead the line for the hosts. Inter Milan pair Marcelo Brozovic and Sime Vrsaljko missed the last set of international fixtures, though both have since recovered and are expected to feature this time around. Spain seems to have put their disappointing World cup campaign behind them
Spain sit at the top of their group with six points, two points clear of England in second. After already beating Croatia 6-0 in the opening match, they backed it up with a 1-2 win over England in the second round, but failed to secure the top spot in the group last time out when they surprisingly fell 2-3 at home to the Three Lions as they trailed England by three goals in the first half. The Spaniards have had no problem finding the back of the net in recent times, scoring 14 times in the four matches of Luis Enrique's tenureLuis Enrique won’t be able to count on the likes of Paco Alcacer, Diego Costa and Marcos Alonso here. Jordi Alba returns to the squad and looks set to start at left-back.
