ENGLAND v SWITZERLAND BETTING PREVIEW

The Three Lions became the first nation – other than hosts France - to qualify for Euro 2016 with a 0-6 drubbing of San Marino last Saturday. The victory also maintained England's 100% record in qualification as they have won all seven matches of Group E. They have scored 24 goals and conceded three in the process.

Hodgson will be looking to experiment with his squad now. Michael Carrick has been withdrawn from the squad with a calf problem. Jonjo Shelvey is now expected to retain his spot here. Gary Cahill and Chris Smalling could also earn game time here in place of Everton duo John Stones and Phil Jagielka. Raheem Sterling should return to the attack after sitting out the clash with San Marino.

Switzerland are second on the table after they came from two goals down i nthe last 10 minutes to beat Slovenia 3-2 in the last fixture, boasting now a five-point lead over third-place Estonia with just three games remaining. After this match, they will host San Marino on October 9, before travelling to Estonia in their final group match on October 12. Perkovic's men are unbeaten in their last three away matches in all competitions, but they have only won two of their last eight away European qualifiers.

Having scored from the bench, Josip Drmic and Valentin Stocker will both expect to start. Premier League duo Shaqiri and Behrami are both expected to start while Gokhan Inler is likely to be benched. Klose and Schaar will play as central defender, with Lichtsteiner and Rodriguez on their flanks and Yann Sommer between the posts.

The Swiss side were beaten 2-0 by England in their first Group E match last September. England have lost just once in 10 competitive fixtures against Switzerland (W6 D3 L1).
