GERMANY vs BRAZIL BETTING PREVIEW
Germany had no way of getting past Spain in Dusseldorf last Friday, as the match ended in a one-a-piece draw. Joachim Low's men are unbeaten in their last 22 games, winning 16 of them. They had a perfect record with ten wins in ten games in the Group C scoring an impressive tally of 43 goals in 10 matches (only four conceded along the way). They had not lost a game at home since May 2016 but will be hoping to end the run of three consecutive draws in friendlies (against the likes of England, France and Spain). Die Mannschaft Germany have won their last two games against Brazil which includes the 7-1 bashing of the Selecao in the 2014 World Cup semifinals.
Emre Can, Thomas Muller and Mesut Ozil have returned to their clubs due to minor injury concerns while Sebastian Rudy, who missed the Spain game following the birth of his son on Thursday, had rejoined the squad. Ilkay Gundogan and Leroy Sane are expected to start at the Olympiastadion. The former will partner Toni Kroos in the middle of the park, while the latter should play in the offnesive midfield trio alongside Julian Draxler and Leon Goretzka. Up front, Sandro Wagner should get the nod over TImo Werner and Lars Stindl for the central striker berth.
Brazil have warmed up fro this clash with a relatively easy victory against 2018 World Cup hosts Russia as they claimed a comprehensive 3-0 win in Moscow despite the absence of Neymar. They have lost just one of their last 18 international fixtures which came against fierce rivals Argentina last year. The Seleçao have won 8 of their last 11 away from home before this clash, winning 11 and drawing one of their last 12 games in friendlies. Furthermore, the "Pentacampeon" have conceded only five goals in 18 fixtures since Tite took over in June 2016.
The Canarinho will still be without Neymar for this fixture, with the Brazilian star currently facing a rush against time to be fit for Russia 2018. Brazilian boos Tite is unlikely to make as many changes though he may try to solidify the midfield. Douglas Costa should be benched, with Fernandinho and Renato Augusto in contention to take his berth. Philippe Coutinho is expected to play in the front trio alongside Gabriel Jesus and Willian. In defense, Thiago Silva is likely to replace his PSG team-mate Marquinhos.
