GERMANY vs FRANCE BETTING PREVIEW
Germany completed a flawless qualifying group campaign that saw them to win all 10 of their games, outscoring the opposition 43-3. They are unbeaten in 20 matches (W16 D4) after drawing 0-0 agains an unexperienced England side on Friday. Anyway, their performance are not so impressive in international friendlies as Joachim low's men have won only six of their last 17 friendly games. In terms of direct matches, Die Mannschaft suffered a bloody defeat to Les Blues in the Euro 2016 semi-final last year, as Antoine Griezmann struck in each half as France ran out 2-0 winners.
Joachim Low is without Manuel Neuer, Thomas Muller, Mario Gomez, Shkodran Mustafi, Jerome Boateng and Jonas Hector most notably, but he has depth in every role. He is expected to make wholesale changes to his side as he has confirmed that Toni Kroos, Sami Khedira and Kevin Trapp will all start. Other players pushing for a start are Mario Gotze, Jerome Boateng and Julian Brandt. The lone striker of a 3-4-2-1 formation will be Sandro Wagner while Marvin Plattenhardt and Joshua Kimmich will play as wing backs.
France, who are unbeaten in the last six international matches, will be heading to Russia next summer after finishing top of their World Cup qualifying group.
Les Blues have a poor record in international firendlies - 3 of their last 4 friendly matches have ended in draws and they have now won just 6 of their last 17 matches outside of qualifying and major international tournaments. Anyway, they boast a strong record in direct encounters, losing only two of their 10 games against Germany so far.
Anthony Martial will be looking to start for France for the first time since September 2016. The Man UTD striker is in line to partner Kylian Mbappè and Antoine Griezmann upfront in a 4-3-3 starting system. Olivier Giroud, Nabil Fekir, Alexandre Lacazette and Kingsley Coman provide further options. Lucas Digne and Adrien Rabiot will also push for starts as left back and central midfielder respectively, while Raphael Varane is doubtful. The likes of Hugo Lloris, Benjamin Mendy, N’Golo Kante, Paul Pogba and Ousmane Dembele are all missing.
