Haye v Bellew 2 Betting Tips, Predictions, Odds and Free Bets (Boxing - 5.5.2018)
- Written by David Bet

Tony Bellew and David Haye return to the ring on Saturday for a heavyweight rematch 14 months on from the first fight. Who will win this time? This article contains our TONY BELLEW vs DAVID HAYE betting preview with predictions, betting tips, enhanced odds, exclusive betting promotions and no deposit free bets on the Bellew vs Haye II bout!
The previous fight suggests that while Bellew can box Haye, he probably does not have the power to really hurt and overwhelm a fit Haye. The 'Bomber' is a former Cruiserweight World Champion, who previously challenged twice for the Light Heavyweight Title, where he came up short. Bellew will probably fight at a frantic pace, surviving the early rounds, allowing Haye to tire and benefitting from being the endurance athlete between the two. If he can make it through the first five rounds relatively unscathed, he can seize control.
A lot of people were surprised to see David Haye (28-3) out-boxed by Tony Bellew in the first clash, but it was clear that the Hayemaker teared his Achilles tendon in the sixth round. Clearly Haye got the fight wrong tactically and his body did not hold out. It was just the third defeat of the Hayemaker's career. This time around, Haye claims to be a whole different animal, more athletic and more committed. He has a new team around him for the second fight, having brought strength and conditioning coach Ruben Tabares back into his camp and linked up with legendary coach Ismael Salas. Obviously, another defeat by Bellew would mark the end of his boxing career, which has not returned to its former heights since the Brit lost his WBA world title to Wladimir Klitschko seven years ago.
The physical conditions will be the key factor. While Bellew looks to actually be peaking in his career at 35, Haye at 37 seems well past his best and has years of wear and tear on his body. His footspeed looked to have almost gone in the first fight, he looked extremely wild, delivering disordered and miscalculated single punches with limited combinations. Plus, the Londoner is clearly not as powerful as he once was. Anyway, we shouldn’t forget that Haye was ahead on the scorecards first time around until the injury occurred.

TONY BELLEW vs DAVID HAYE BETTING PREVIEW
Tony Bellew (29-2-1) shocked the O2 Arena 14 months ago, stopping an injured David Haye in the 11th round, after a hard-fought battle. A rematch was scheduled for December 17 but Haye fell foul of injury once again, this time needing surgery on a torn left biceps. Despite that faomous victory, the Liverpudlian - who has since vacated the WBC title - comes into the rematch as an underdog. Anyway, he knows how to survive and how to negate a fight and nullify a fighter’s strengths. Bellew has been allowed more time to grow into the weight and now has evidence that he can cope with this version of David Haye. Anyway, the reach is vastly different between the pair – 198cm for the Hayemaker, 188cm for Bellew. The previous fight suggests that while Bellew can box Haye, he probably does not have the power to really hurt and overwhelm a fit Haye. The 'Bomber' is a former Cruiserweight World Champion, who previously challenged twice for the Light Heavyweight Title, where he came up short.
