INTER MILAN v AC MILAN BETTING PREVIEW
After a good run of results in Serie A, the pressure is now back on Inter Milan following back-to-back defeats against Sampdoria and Crotone. They are two points behind their city rivals and out of the league’s top 5. The Nerazzurri have failed to keep a clean sheet in their last six games, and all of those matches have been high scoring affairs. The first "Derby della Madonnina" of the season ended in a 2-2 draw in what was Stefano Pioli’s first match in charge after replacing Frank de Boer, courtesy of a Ivan Perisic's late equalizer.
Manager Stefano Pioli has no injury concerns. Influential midfielder Roberto Gagliardini is back from an ankle injury and this would be a huge boost. Gary Medel and Jeison Murillo are in contention for a starting berth in central defense, alongside Joao Miranda. Up front, Banega is favorite to get the nod over Joao Mario for the "number ten" position, with Ivan Perisic and Antonio Candreva on his flanks, and Mauro Icardi as central striker.
AC Milan have earned a thrashing home win over Palermo (4-0) in their last outing and leapfrogged above Inter up to sixth place. They have lost only one of their last nine games in Serie A and that was against league leaders Juventus. Two weeks ago the "Devils" struggled for consistency, drawing 1-1 draw at Pescara, the bottom team in the league standings. The Rossoneri have lost only one of the last six competitive Milan derbies.
Gianluigi Donnarumma will continue between the sticks while Cristian Zapata is in contention with Gabriel Paletta for the center back spot partnering Leandro Romagnoli. In midfield, Mario Pasalic won’t feature due to yellow card accumulation and Mati Fernandez is favourite to start in the middle of the park, alongside Josè Sosa and Juraj Kucka. No changes are expected in attack as Suso, Carlos Bacca and Gerard Deulofeu will feature from the off.
