Ireland beat Gibraltar 4-0 away from home on Friday evening and Martin O' Neill's men are still in-touch with Germany and Poland, who currently occupy the groups top two positions with just three qualifiers left to play. They are unbeaten in three and have lost just one competitive fixture under O'Neill (W3 D3). With Germany and Poland to come in their final two matches in October, a victory over Georgia is crucial for the Republic.

The Irish team should have Seamus Coleman back for this match. The Everton right back will replace Cyrus Christie, whoe scored a goal last Friday. Other than that, though, O'Neill has no new injury concerns to worry about. Shane Long could replace Jonathan Walters in the starting lineup.

Georgia recorded their second win in Group D beating 1-0 Scotland just before the weekend thanks to Valeri Kazaishvili's well-taken strike. They have lost five of their seven group matches, with the other win coming against minnows of Gibraltar.

The Georgians are expected to keep faith with the same team that beat Scotland. It means that Mchelidze will play as lone forward while Kankava, Qazaishili and Okriashvili will provide support from midfield.

Ireland beat Georgia 2-1 away from home one year ago. Ireland have met Georgia six times, winning all six since their first meeting in 2003.
