JUVENTUS v TOTTENHAM BETTING PREVIEW

Juventus were defeated 4-3 by the local side Melbourne Victory in the first match of the series on penalties. The regular time ended 1-1 with Juve youngster Carlos Blanco Moreno nets from 60 yards. The Old Lady should not underestimate the pre-season as they had a bad start ast year with just one point earned in the first three league matches.

The Italian champions have already been splashing the cash on new talent including midfielders Miralem Pjanic and Marko Pjaca, right-back Dani Alves and defender Mehdi Benatia. Furthermore they are expected to announce the acquisition of Napoli striker Gonzalo Higuain in a few days. Leonardo Bonucci, Andrea Barzagli, Giorgio Chiellini, Simone Zaza and Gianluigi Buffon are still enjoying their holiday after an impressive European Championship.

Tottenham were involved in one friendly previously, a rather training ground match against Nottingham Forest, which was won by the Spurs 3-0. Prior to that, the Lilywhites recorded a 3-1 victory in a closed-door friendly against Championship side Rotherham United. They will face Champions League finalists Atletico Madrid on the same ground on Friday.

Mauricio Pochettino have left a number of key players at home following Euro 2016 - Harry Kane, Dele Alli, Eric Dier, Kyle Walker and Danny Rose. Anyway, new signings Victor Wanyama and Vincent Janssen will be in action. Ben Davies, Toby Alderweireld, Mousa Dembele and Hugo Lloris will not feature while Jan Vertonghen is out through injury and Clinton N'Jie is in line to move to Marseille. New signing Georges-Kevin Nkoudou is expected to make his debut at some stage and there could well be opportunities for both Alex Pritchard and Nabil Bentaleb to impress the Argentine boss.
