LEICESTER v FC COPENHAGEN BETTING PREVIEW
Leicester made a fantastic start to the Champions League campaign as they cruised to a 3-0 win over Club Brugge in Belgium, and they followed up that victory with an impressive 1-0 home win over an FC Porto. Anyway, they are struggling in Premier League and enter this match on the back of a 3-0 defeat against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge. That was their fourth loss on the road in the league but they have been a different proposition at home with two wins and two draws and just the one goal conceded. The Foxes suffered just three losses last term but they have been already beaten by the likes of Liverpool, Manchester United and Chelsea thus far, losing by three goals in each of those games.
Riyad Mahrez and Islam Slimani were rested against Chelsea on Saturday and will come back into the starting XI tonight. Midfielders Nampalys Mendy and Matthew James remain sidelined with ankle injuries, but Shinji Okazaki is hoping to recover in time to play. The defense is likely to be formed by Danny Simpson, Christian Fuchs, Robert Huth and Wes Morgan.
FC Copenhagen are on top of the Danish Superliga and unbeaten in 13 matches in all competitions so far, including eight Champions League matches this season having started their campaign in July. The Danish outfit held Porto to a 1-1 draw in Portugal and beat 4-0 Club Brugge on their own turf. With four points from a possible six however, Copenhagen remain in very real contention for a place in the knockout stages. As to the Champions League qualifiers, FC Copenhagen got the better of Crusaders (9-0 aggregate) Astra (4-1 aggregate) and also APOEL (2-1 aggregate).
The Danes do not have serious injury concerns and will field their regular starting XI. Federico Santander and Andreas Cornelius are expected to lead the line in a 4-4-2 formation. Jan Gregus is back in contention after serving his suspension in the last match, although Ståle Solbakken may stick with Benjamin Verbic after his impressive performance against Club Bruges.
