MANCHESTER UTD v READING BETTING PREVIEW
Manchester United’s winning streak continued on Monday as the Red Devils beat West Ham 2-0, thanks to an early sending off of Sofiane Feghouli. After a miserable run of three wins in 11 games, they have won seven games in a row and are unbeaten in 13 matches. Mourinho's men are 6th in the Premier League standings, 3 points below 3rd placed Tottenham and Man City, 10 points from league leaders Chelsea.Changes are expected to be made by Jose Mourinho after a very busy Christmas period. The likes of Timothy Fosu-Mensah, Luke Shaw, Marouane Fellaini and Marcus Rashford are all expected to start. Michael Carrick is likely to rested while Zlatan Ibrahimovic will lead the line as usual. Eric Bailly, who is away on international duty, is the only player unavailable for Mourinho this weekend whilst James Wilson remains a long term absentee with his ACL injury.
Reading have won their last 3 Championship matches and they are currently sitting 3rd in the Championship table, six points off the top two. Furthermore, they will be well rested having only completed two games since Christmas. Jaap Stam's have won seven of 14 away games, lost six and drawn just one. Although they have secured 90th-minute winners at Bristol City and Blackburn Rovers recently, they also lost 2-0 at Leeds United and 5-0 at Fulham.
Manager Jaap Stam is expected to play his best XI and will field a 4-2-3-1 formation in which Yann Kermorgant will spearhead the attack. The likes of Garath McCleary, John Swift and Roy Beerens are likely to start as offensive midfielders. Stephen Quinn and Deniss Rakels are expected to be the only players unavailable for this match.
