NICE v NAPOLI BETTING PREVIEW 

Nice will be aiming to overturn a 2-0 aggregate deficit as they were soundly beaten at the Stadio San Polo last week. After a disappointing start to the season, Les Aiglons recorded their first victory in Ligue 1 this term via a 2-0 success over Guingamp at home on Saturday. It was their first seasonal victory as they suffered back to back defeats in the first two Ligue 1 matchweeks and qualified to the Champions League play-off via away goals following two successive draws against Ajax. Lucien Favre’s men have won 15 out of 22 fixtures in continental competition at their own turf.

Wylan Cyprien is injured, while Vincent Koziello and Alassane Pléa are both suspended after being sent off in the first leg. Anwyay, Mario Balotelli and Wesley Sneijder are going to feature from the off. Jean Michael Seri is being heavily linked with a move to Barcelona, so it remains to be seen whether he will play or not. The likes of Allan Saint-Maximin and Pierre Les-Melou will play as offensive wingers in the 4-2-3-1 system, while Christophe Jallet, Dante, Maxime Le Marchand and Malang Sarr will form the four man backline.



Napoli followed up that first-leg win by seeing off Hellas Verona 3-1 in their opening Serie A game at the weekend. The Partenopei were by far the better team in the first leg, registering 18 shots on goal, compared to Nice’s dismal five attempts, none of which were on target. They have an impressive Champions League record  - W4 D2 L3 in their last 9 outings - and were only knocked out by Real Madrid last season.

Napoli are expecting to have a fully fit squad for this trip. Dries Mertens suffered a physical problem in the last training but the Belgian travelled with the team and is expected to start up front with Lorenzo Insigne and Jose Callejon. The likes of Allan, Marek Hamisk and Jorginho are likely to start in midfield while Raul Albiol, Nikola Maksimovic and Vlad Chiriches are in contention to partner Kalidou Koulibaly as centre-back. Elseid Hysaj and Faouzi Ghoulam will retain their berth as right and left-back.
