PSG v TOTTENHAM BETTING PREVIEW
PSG have already faced Roma in the early hours of Thursday morning, beating the Giallorossi on penalties after the 1-1 draw in regular time so we can expect them to have the edge in terms of sharpness. They are under some pressure heading into the new season, having lost out to Monaco in the pursuit of the Ligue 1 title. Marco Verratti has also been linked with a move away from Paris but the club appears to be intent to activate the release clause of Neymar (about £200m).Julian Draxler did not travel because of his involvement in the Confederations Cup with Germany while striker Edinson Cavani is still recovering from his ankle injury. Unay Emery handed a debut to new signing Dani Alves last time out and the Brazilian is expected to line up alongside his compatriots Thiago Silva and Marquinhos in defence. The trio of Serge Aurier, Hatem Ben Arfa and Grzegorz Krychowiak have been left out of the team as their future at the club is in doubt.
This will be the first outing of the season for Pochettino's men. They have scheduled friendlies against Roma, Manchester City, and Juventus ahead of their Premier League opener at St James Park in August. Tottenham have thus far had a quiet transfer window ahead of the 2017-18 season despite being linked with the likes of Ross Barkley, Christian Pulisic and Juan Foyth and their tour squad is made up of familiar faces. Anyway, right back Kyle Walker signed for rivals Manchester City earlier this month.
Spurs' big guns such as Harry Kane, Dele Alli, Hugo Lloris, Jan Vertonghen, Eric Dier and Christian Eriksen are all expected to feature from the off while thje likes of Heung-min Son, Moussa Sissoko, Erik Lamela and Danny Rose remain unavailable for selection due to injuries. Mousa Dembele and Harry Winks are both part of the travelling squad after making progress in their rehabilitation.
