Amir Khan (34-5, 21 KOs) is a 2004 Olympic silver medalist and former unified light-welterweight champion. He was a unified junior welterweight champion in the early 2010s, but he failed to replicate that success after moving up to welterweight. Khan hasn't fought since September 2019, beating the unheralded Billy Dib by fourth-round TKO in Saudi Arabia. Before that he lost a world title fight at welterweight against pound-for-pound star Terence Crawford ands suffered famous knockouts at the hands of Danny Garcia and Canelo Alvarez.
Kell Brook (39-3, 27 KOs) last fought in November 2020, when Terence Crawford stopped him in the fourth round of their Las Vegas match-up. 'Special K' fought one other time in 2020, scoring a seventh-round knockout against Mark DeLuca. He has hinted at potential retirement having suffered three defeats in his last six fights, albeit against top-quality opposition - the other two defeats came at the hands of Errol Spence Jr and Gennady Golovkin. The latter two fights led to fractures in his orbital socket.
