Chelsea vs Tottenham Betting Preview
Chelsea scrapped to a 1-0 victory on the road against Everton last Saturday, courtesy of a penalty scored by Jorginho. They struggled to turn final-third possession and game control into chances and their new signings - Kalidou Koulibaly, Marc Cucurella and Raheem Sterling - were the best players on the pitch. Thomas Tuchel will expect a far more efficient display from his team, who will be aware that they have to develop a ruthless streak in their game similar to that of their opponents.Tottenham made a slow start last weekend, but they managed to win 4-1 without either of Son Heung-min or Harry Kane getting on the scoresheet. The Spurs have been a different team since former Chelsea boss Antonio Conte took over as manager in November. They finished fourth last season after a remarkable comeback, just three points behind Chelsea.
As to direct encounters, Chelsea have won five straight matches in this North West London derby. The Blues beat Spurs four times last season in four contests between the clubs, three of which came after the latter hired manager Antonio Conte in November. Spurs have won just once in the past 37 meetings at Stamford Bridge (W1 D24 L12).
Probable Line-Ups
Chelsea (3-4-2-1): Mendy; Azpilicueta, Silva, Koulibaly; James, Jorginho, Kante, Cucurella; Sterling, Mount; HavertzMateo Kovacic is the only confirmed injury-related absentee for the clash with Spurs, although Marcos Alonso will not be considered for selection as he seeks a move to pastures new. Kovacic's absence would seemingly cement N'Golo Kante and Jorginho as starters in the engine room. Ben Chilwell looked short of match fitness last weekend against Everton and was hooked on the hour mark, suggesting Cucurella may start at left wing-back. Although Kalidou Koulibaly was withdrawn with cramp last weekend, the Senegalese is expected to be fine to start this fixture. No changes are expected up front, with Kai Havertz and Mason Mount supporting Raheem Sterling. The likes of Christian Pulisic, Armando Broja and Hakim Ziyech provide further options.
Tottenham (4-3-3): Lloris; Romero, Dier, Davies; Emerson, Hojbjerg, Bentancur, Sessegnon; Kulusevski, Kane, Son
Richarlison returns from suspension this weekend but Oliver Skipp (foot) is still weeks away from a return and Clement Lenglet is unlikely to be risked after complaining of tightness in his adductor. Antonio Conte is expected to name the same line-up that started last week, as he will probably continue keeping faith with the old guard. This means that Emerson royal and Ryan Sessegnon will retian their starting berth as wing backs, with Ivan Perisic expected to replace Sessegnon in the 2nd half. The usual front three (Dejan Kulusevski, Harry Kane and Son Heung Min) is set to start again as Richarlison provides back-up from the bench.

Our Chelsea vs Tottenham Predictions
The Blues looked far from their best in the opening fixture, while Southampton proved too shaky at the back to stop the Spurs' front trio. The Blues, of course, will be much tougher than the Saints. Under 2.5 goals have been scored in the last three meetings between these two sides in league and cup (and fibe of the last six), and we're predicting another tight and tense 90-minutes on Sunday. As to match result, we go for a Chelsea narrow win here. 1-0 and 2-1 are our picks in the correct score market while Cristian Romero's odds to be shown a card are appealing..
