England v Albania betting preview
England begin their new qualifying campaign in Group K with a new manager - former Chelsea's boss Thomas Tuchel - at the helm. Promotion to League A of the Nations League was sealed by a 5-0 victory at home to the Republic of Ireland at the end of Lee Carsley’s temporary stint as England manager. The Three Lions are unbeaten across their last 31 qualifiers for FIFA's top tournament - winning 23 times in the process. They hold the longest ongoin unbeaten run of any European nation.
Albania were involved at Euro 2024 and were not disgraced, although taking one point from three group stage matches as they were drawn in the "Group of Death". Their 2-2 draw against Croatia was sandwiched in between narrow defeats against Italy (1-2) and eventual champions Spain (0-1). Albania were quite underwhelming in their Europa League campaign. They won 2-1 (neutral venue) vs Ukraine and 1-0 in Georgia, but lost at home to Ukraine (2-1) and Georgia (1-0), as well as suffering a 2-0 defeat in the Czech Republic. As a result, they finished bottom and were relegated to League C.
Best Odds
England are huge favourites to win in front of their own fans at 1/7 with Bet365, while Albania are 23/1 for shocking victory with 10Bet with the draw at 9/1 with BetMGM.
Probable Line-ups
England (3-4-2-1): Pickford; Walker, Guehi, Colwill; James, Henderson, Rice, Lewis-Skelly; Bellingham, Gordon; Kane.
New arrivals come in the form of young Arsenal left-back Myles Lewis-Skelly and Dan Burn, who has earned a first call-up at the age of 32. Marcus Rashford is back in the squad after his promising form for loan club Aston Villa, and Jordan Henderson is back in the mix, too. Cole Palmer has been pulled out from the squad due to a muscle injury and will be replaced by Morgan Gibbs-White. As usual, Harry Kane will spearhead the attack, with Anthony Gordon and Jude Bellingham likely to start behind the Bayern Munich striker.
Albania (4-3-3): Strakosha; Balliu, Ismaijli, Djimsiti, Aliji; Laci, Ramadani, Asllani; Asani, Broja, Bajrami.
Albania, whose head coach is former Arsenal and Barcelona defender Sylvinho, is plagued by several injuries. expecially in defense where Mario Mitaj and Elseid Hysaj are out through injury. Midfielder Keidi Bare, and forwards Mirlind Daku, Taulant Seferi, and Anis Mehmeti are also sidelined. Armando Broja will lead the line, flanked by Rangers midfielder Nedim Bajrami and Jasir Asani. Inter Milan's Kristjan Asllani will start in the middle of the park, alongside Ylber Ramadani and Qazim Laci..
Head To Head
In terms of direct encounters, England have won all six of their previous meetings against Albania (the most recent in 2021), scoring 19 goals and conceding just once in those fixtures. The teams were housed in the same 2022 World Cup qualifying group and the Three Lions won boh games, 2-0 in Tirana and 5-0 at Wembley.

Our England v Albania Betting Tips
England are unbeaten in 31 World Cup qualifying matches and have only lost twice in their last 10 matches in all competitions (including their Euro 2024 final against Spain).
Albania are ranked 65th in the world after losing seven of their 13 matches across all competitions in 2024. They have lost on all three of their previous visits to Wembley, conceding 12 goals without scoring in reply.
As a consequence, we expect England to sweep aside Albania on home turf, recording a wide-margin victory.
Harry Kane, of course, in the main candidate to put his name on the scoresheet. We complete our set of tips with "Asllani to commit 2+ fouls".
